Space Coast Real Estate

On March 9, 2020, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a State of Emergency in response to the Covid-19 virus.  Few industries were spared by the abrupt halt in business activity, but some fared better than others.  Real Estate transactions have certainly been affected, and we expect that the aftershocks will continue to reverberate for some time.

While the mortgage crisis of the 2008 had the greatest impact on residential housing, we expect that this crisis will continue having the greatest impact on the commercial real estate, particularly in hospitality and retail.

The charts below illustrate the total number of residential and commercial real estate sales in Brevard County in the months before and after the Emergency Declaration.

We will update these charts every month, so please register at the top of the page to receive the latest figures.
