Founding Principal, James Flint, CCIM of Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates – Flint Brokers & Associates, a commercial real estate firm headquartered in Melbourne, represented the seller, Lung Biotechnology, in the $1.78 million sale of their 8000 square foot oceanfront executive office building. The buyer, Shoolin, LLC was represented by Michael E. Dreyer, CCIM, Broker/President of Dreyer & Associates Real Estate Group.

Lung Biotechnology’s parent company, United Therapeutics, is headquartered in Silver Springs Maryland, and is a publicly traded global biotech firm with a mission to develop treatments for rare diseases. The company's principal, Avi Halpert, Vice President of Corporate Real Estate, oversees the acquisition, disposition, and management of the corporation's holdings.

“We were impressed by the persistence, dedication, and attention to detail from Mr. Flint, and his team at Sperry Commercial,” said Halpert. We were offering a beautiful property on the beach, but it was designed exclusively for our company, and may not have been the highest and best use of prime oceanfront real estate to the broadest group of buyers.”

Unfortunately, that was followed by the Covid-19 emergency, which halted commercial transactions for several months.

“Mr. Flint updated me every week, and it became clear that no amount of adversity, including a global pandemic, was going to deter him or the rest of his group,” said Halpert.
